FUNCTIONAL HEALTH APPROACH
Decompression Therapy effectively relieves the pain associated with disc herniation, degenerative discs, stenosis, posterior facet, sciatica, chronic headaches, and other spinal related syndromes. Inversion therapy is also available for thoracic pain symptoms.
By reducing the pressure on spinal discs and facet joint, spinal decompression therapy is a breakthrough treatment for the elimination of pain. Decompression therapy requires a series of treatments, typically 2-3 times per week for about 10 minutes per treatment. The extent and severity of a person’s symptoms will determine the length of the treatment program.
Spinal discs are avascular structures, meaning they lack an adequate blood supply unlike muscles in the body. The lack of blood supply means that discs in the spine heal at a much slower rate, up to 300 to 500 days without treatment. Spinal decompression therapy allows an osmotic interchange of fluid to speed healing of the disc by up to 71%, or less than 100 days.
Dr. Robyn DeSautel is one of the certified spinal decompression practitioners in the area utilizing the Kennedy Neural-Flex Decompression System for the non-surgical treatment of spinal injuries and pain.
